01 Use of our website & platforms

Our website and platforms — including Serene AI, Uganda Tender Hub, Marketplace Hub and the Clients Portal — are provided for your lawful use. You agree to use them responsibly, not to interfere with their operation or security, and to comply with all applicable laws of Uganda.

02 Accounts

Where you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your login details confidential and for all activity that takes place under your account. You must provide accurate information and notify us promptly of any unauthorised use.

03 Quotes, estimates & calculators

Quotes, estimates and results produced by our online calculators are indicative only and are not binding. They are provided as a guide and do not constitute a formal offer, quotation or professional opinion. Final pricing and scope are confirmed only in a written agreement signed by us.

04 BOQ & cost guides

Our Bills of Quantities (BOQ) tools, cost guides and educational content are provided for general information. They are not a substitute for professional advice tailored to your specific project, site and circumstances. Always obtain professional advice before making decisions.

05 Marketplace

• Designs & licences: architectural designs and plans available on our marketplace are licensed for use on the terms stated with each listing. You may not resell or redistribute them unless the licence expressly allows it.
• Land listings: land and property listings are subject to title verification before any payment is made. You should independently verify ownership, title and encumbrances before committing to any transaction.
• Professionals: verification of a professional on our platforms is not a guarantee of work quality. You are responsible for your own due diligence before engaging any professional.

06 Payments & refunds

Payments are processed through third-party processors such as PayPal and mobile money providers. Their own terms and fees apply. Unless stated otherwise:

• Fees for services already delivered or for digital designs already supplied are generally non-refundable.
• Any refund or cancellation is at our discretion and subject to the terms of the relevant engagement.

07 Intellectual property

All architectural designs, drawings, documents, text, graphics and other materials we create or publish remain our intellectual property unless expressly assigned in writing. Unless the licence for a particular design says otherwise, you may not reproduce, distribute or commercially exploit our designs without our written permission.

08 User content

You are responsible for any content you upload, publish or submit through our platforms. By submitting content, you confirm you have the right to share it and you grant us a licence to host, display and use it as needed to operate our services. You must not post unlawful, misleading or infringing content.

09 Prohibited use

You must not use our website or platforms to:

• Break any law or infringe the rights of others.
• Upload malicious code, attempt unauthorised access, or disrupt our systems.
• Post false, fraudulent or misleading listings or content.
• Scrape, copy or resell our content or designs without permission.

10 Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Serene Creations Limited shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential losses arising from your use of our website, platforms, tools or content. Our services are provided “as is”, and we do not warrant that they will be uninterrupted or error-free. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

11 Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Uganda, and you agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Uganda in respect of any dispute arising out of or in connection with them.
